Director of Pharmacy
Hunter Pharmacy Services, Inc. (HPS) is a hospital pharmacy management company with over 40 accounts throughout Texas. One of our accounts is ETMC Henderson. Currently, we have a position open for a Director of Pharmacy.
ETMC Henderson is a 49 bed facility witha level IV ER. The typical schedule is Monday – Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and no weekends.
This position requires a pharmacist who is able to direct, establish, and plan the overall policies and goals for the hospital's pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes and promote effective drug therapy. Requires a bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in pharmacy and is licensed to practice with at least one year of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Will report to top management. Education, training, experience:
Minimum one year hospital and management experience.
Experience, or strong familiarity, with Meditech software.
ACPE IV Certified.
Must be able to handle a high volume of work, frequent interruptions, multiple projects, respond quickly to emergency situations/requests, make critical decisions, work with a team, work independenlty, and adapt to changes in work schedule when needed.
